IE8 dosen't save downloads

The problem with that is that we can't download. I even tried the Open instead of Save but that didn't work either.

And I just checked and Internet Explorer 8 is not in the Uninstall Programs List. This is fu.

in programs and features you must go to 'turn windows fetaures on or off' (it's on the left) and IE is under there

But will that move it back Internet 7?

Go into Programs and Features and on the lefthand side there is the Turn Windows features on or off,untick the box for IE, Hope this helps.

i don't think so, i think it just removes IE. im doing it right now. it's taken a while. i'll report back

IE can be removed but not uninstalled if you follow me.

And I just tried to call Microsoft but they can't help me because there is no phone support for people using Windows 7 and the Internet Explorer 8 people only deal wiht XP and Vista. I love Micro$oft.

windows finally 'removed' IE and finished 'installing' will report back with results once i reboot for the 7th time today (installing updates that i haven't done in a while b/c of my internet connection @ home)

Well I just removed mine and still no dice. I don't know where to go next on this.

You could download using another computer.

At this point, as painful as it probably is, I'd try a clean install of the OS and see if that corrects it.
