Thanks for letting me knw. I know have another problem with hotmail, it put over half of my good mail in the Junk folder. It started this last week. Today it did say that it had added the address of email identified as safe was added to the safe list.
But, I still cannot use my contact list when using Internet Explorer and haven't received anything indicating that anyone else has had the problem that I am still having. I wonder what Bill Gates would do.
    Thanks, ><>clancy31<><

My email is downloading, but not to my Windows Live...can't find it

We I go on my computer, the icon comes up showing my antivirus is checking my email, but my Windows live account is closed at the time. When I open Windows live, the mail is not there. I have no idea where the email is going. My Windows live account is set up not to delete the email off of the server, but when this is downloading, it deletes it off of the server and I have no way to find it. Any idea where it is on my computer and how I can find it?

    Thanks,

    Kevin

What are you supposed to do when your hotmail is sending spam mail to everyone?
i heard Skype associating hotmail can be one at fault, probably some bot.
(closing hotmail account might not work either)

Sounds like 4 tracking cookies were at fault,
discovered after trying another antispyware other than Malwarebytes.
(what i find weird is: how could these tracking cookies be locked and not removed by ccleaner)

It sounds like wlm might have been high jacked. Go to mail.live.com log in and change your password and see if that fixes it. If you have wlm installed on your computer make sure you change the password there also

Hello- newbee here- I am pretty sure if I kept on looking for months (don't know how to define technically my issue) I could possibly find an answer OR take a jab at throwing this out there- the cursor when in emails will not open the links- it used to but then I fixed (?) something and now no more opening of links, it won't even copy the link so I can paste. Thanks in advance for what will be a simple answer for someone- Charlie

You could try a System Restore to a point in time before you "fixed (?) something".

Be aware though, you will have to re-run Windows Updates if that point in time is before last months Patch Tuesday (Oct.14th).

I'm on my laptop, stuck in Missouri at a motel and I can't access outlook.

Also I have TouchPad Blocker but it seems to have suddenly disabled.

Can you be more specific on why you can not access outlook?

    • Are you using the motels wi-fi?
    • Are you getting a good steady signal from it?
    • Have you made sure you're using the proper security code they gave you?
    • Are you at least getting onto the internet?
    • Perhaps it is a security setting?
    • Can you get to outlook's sign-in page?
    • Is outlook giving you any messages as to why you can't access it?
    • Its been a long day, you're in a motel, are you typing in the proper ID and password?
    • Have you tried a different link, such as m.outlook.com?
    • Do you have a smart phone, can you reach outlook from it?
    • This site says outlook is up. It gives instruction on clearing your cache and flushing your DNS, one poster was having problems logging into outlook back around when you posted here, did you see the same message?
    • Maybe MS was pulling maintenance have you tried again since the last time?

Check the hotkey(s) settings, maybe you tapped ctrl+F9 or ctrl+alt+F9 by mistake.
