    Go to search, type default
    Select the one that you want

    im running w7 64 bit, im trying to respond to adds on craigsl;ist and im getting a message thats says my email client is not set up, i would like to have yahoo as my default

    You must have an email that uses Pop3 if you want to use craigs list. Yahoo charges for Pop3 ,unless you use a slow work around.

    First you have to download a client. Look at my list or you could use the one that I have gmx.com. If you want yahoo it will cost. Tell me which one you want to use.

    yahoo's gmail is free and quite popular.IMO

    My W7 came with Hotmail preloaded but I could not make it connect to the net! (I'm not savvy) My solution was - after three, hair pulling days - to uninstall it and go to the net and DL it. After executing it, it asked me for my usual password and then asked me if I wanted to make it my default e mail client, so now I'm fixed.

    It may have not been the way others would have done it, but it worked.

    Truth is I did that on a desperate lark and it accidentally worked.
