Having email problems with windows 7

Hi all. I have recently purchased a new laptop with windows 7. Now on my old laptop (xp) you could right click something and send it as an email with outlook express. Now when i try to do this i get a message saying "there is no email program associated to perform the requested actions. please install an email program,or if one is already installed create an association in the Default Programs control panel". Im not sure what to do. Any help would be fab.

    Thanks all

Windows 7 does not come with an email program, so you can't use default programs until you download and install an email program. Microsoft makes available a suite of programs via "Windows Live Essentials". You download a small installer file and then select which programs in the suite you want to install. The mail program (intended to replace XP's Outlook Express) is called "Windows Live Mail". It's fairly complex, but can do everything OE did and more. So as not to be overwhelmed with a bunch of new programs to learn about, I'd suggest only downloading and installing WLM and practice using it to see if you can find the OE features you need. Then import your old messages and contacts from OE.

Try right clicking the install file and "run as Administrator" and see if that helps.
