Windows Mail

I have windows mail on my 7 OS from when I had vista. I wanted to see if there was a way to acquire the ip from an e-mails you receive.

I have gotten a fishy e-mail from craigslist I wanna check. I know it tells you on gmail and such but can you find it on Windows Mail?

Thanks in advance

When you get the mail. In the top pane, even before you open, right click. A lot of information is there and I think the ISP number is too.

Hi,

I use the dutch language, so some names might be different, but if you rightclick on the mail header (I think that's what you call it) and go to properties an then click on details you should be able to see the ip address the mail came from.

I did this a long time ago but don't remember which is the ip address. After highlighting the e-mail, going to properties, then details, and message source it shows all the domains and such. But it has 3-4 "Received: by"

Not sure which is his ip address specifically.

I think it should be the last one on the list before you see the actual message.

For instance: first one : your mail server
Second one: mail server sender
Last one : sender

No worries, least I could do. I need to go to the zoo here at some point, it is always raining but that's Oregon. I broke 100 posts at the same time
