    IE8 Uninstalled, can't reinstall.

I uninstalled IE8 through the control panel a number of weeks ago. I wish to download and install it again, but I cannot. Why? How can I get IE8 back?

    Hello BreakGuy,

You should be able to check Internet Explorer 8 in Windows Features to turn it back on in Windows 7.

I made sure the box for Internet Explorer 8 was checked, then restarted the computer.... still not showing.

How exactly did you uninstall IE8? Did you delete any folders?

    Thanks.

I believe I uninstalled via Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features\Uninstall or change a program. I don't recall removing or deleting any folders or files.

No worries. I'm using Safari right now.

Did you check the Programs Files folder, EX, C:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Explorer to see if the "iexplore.exe" is there and works??? You might just be missing the shortcuts.

You know what? That's the problem. I cannot believe I overlooked something that simple. Thank you very very much. Now I just need to create a shortcut and I'll be sorted. Thank you so much again.
