Make my site compatible with IE9 "new features"

Guys. I don't know how to search it via Google, so I had to come here and ask.

How can I make my site compatible with IE9 new features?

    This is:
    - Full Favicon, without white borders, pinned on the taskbar.
    - Make the site menu on the jumplist.

    Can someone please help me?
    Thanks a lot.

If I'm not mistaken, favicons have to be in PNG format to have transparent borders.

I was thinking about that. But, that's not the only problem. I also want the menu identified on the jump list, because I only get to see "Start Private Browsing"

    Thanks for the help.
