Xmarks shutting down bookmark sync service

    well i think i can stick with foxsync and backup manually once a week for reasurance.

    I was also very disappointed that XMarks is going under. I tried Foxsync, but I was not impressed. I use a laptop in addition to a desktop, so I'm giving up syncing programs for my bookmarks. Instead, I'm just backing up my desktop bookmarks and importing them into the laptop as an html file. BTW, FEBE is a great add-in that backs up Firefox and its settings, including bookmarks, and I use that, too, to back up Firefox.

    google chrome does work well with storing all your bookmarks for you so every time you go in chrome (as long as you have a gmail account and have it synced ) plus google docs is not to be sniffed at that does loads of options for you and they recently increased the usage allowence and you can save files etc
