    Umm, ok. As a test, create a new administrator account to see if works properly while logged on to that account.

    No problem Ricketts. You can do OPTION ONE in the tutorial below to do so, but just be sure to select (dot) Administrator option. :)

    well I dont know what to thinkdone all that you said but still not fixed still opens in maximize even set at minmize checked with a friend who has windows live mail and his opens in minmize each time all settings are like mine.....

    I must admit that I'm not sure why your's is doing this. If you installed your Windows 7 with a retail Windows 7 installation DVD, then you can use it to do a repair install. It's a bit more work, but it should be able to fix this without losing anything. Just to be extra safe though, be sure to backup anything that you do not want to lose. A power outage while doing this could lose everything.

    Hi ricketts

    You might try this, while WLM is open hover over the lower right corner of the window until the little arrow goes diagnal and push that corner towards the middle until it's the size you want, then the nest time you open it will be that size. Let us know if it works

    Nothing helps... it keeps opening in maximized mode.
    This mail client is not one of Microsoft's triumphs.
