    Google Chrome Release Blog said:
The Chrome Dev channel has been updated to 8.0.552.0 for all platforms. It contains a number of stability and other improvements. More details about the changes are available in the SVN revision log. If you find new issues, please let us know by filing a bug. Want to change to another Chrome release channel? Find out how.

Some things I've noticed right off the bat. If you go to About:Labs you'll see a new option called "GPU Accelerated Canvas 2D".

I looked at the SVN revision log and it looks like they added an about:gpu page as well.

On that about:gpu page it shows my DirectX diagnostics for my GPU. I'm not sure if Chrome is using DirectX directly (heh) or the ANGLE implementation: angleproject - Project Hosting on Google Code

HTML5 Speed Reading seems to run a lot faster now (60 FPS)

Remember there are five channels that Google uses.

    Stable Channel
    Beta Channel
    Developers Channel
    Canary Channel
    Nightly Channel

    -

Stable has the oldest versions with the least features. Very stable though.
Beta has some new features and has minor bugs generally, pretty stable regardless.
Developers is one of the more latest ones, still rather stable.
Canary is pushing it in the stabability area, but is newer then Developers.
Nightlies tend to be the latest and greatest feature wise.
