Problem with Windows Live Mail 2011

My computer just updated to Live Mail 2011 this morning. I have discovered an annoying issue I am hoping someone can shed light on. Hopefully I can adequately describe this issue.

I use the program for my email and my class folders for school. I go to school online so everything goes through a newsgroup. Prior to updating to the conversations would stay in a single thread. If a thread was started under the title if "Hi" regardless of the title of any message posted under that thread it would stay together. I have noticed that if the title of any message changes then a new thread is started in the newsgroup folder. So let's say under "Hi" there are 3 responses then someone decides to respond in the thread but change the message title to "bye" the "bye" message would start a whole new thread. I really hope that makes sense it is not that easy to describe. I am hoping there is a way to fix this as tracking the conversations within their context is difficult if I don't know what conversation the message was originally attached to. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Threaded can be turned on or off in the view tab. You can sort by anything.

There is a tutorial on this in the tutorial sections.

Thank you for your response but I had already figured out how to turn the conversations on and off. The problem I am having is that the conversations break apart based on the title of the message. I want the thread to stay together regardless of the title of each subsequent message. I should be able to have 5 messages listed off of a single subject with 5 different titles and they should stay together. I cannot keep track of the messages because they are breaking away from the parent message. Any suggestions on keeping the messages completely tied together would be greatly appreciated.

Are you saying that this problem did not exist with the previous version of WLM but only happened with the update to 2011?

That is exactly what I am saying. I had no problems with the previous edition of Windows Live Mail. My conversations stayed together in their specific threads regardless of the title of each message.

Since I'm still using the previous version of WLM, I can't say what 2011 should do. However it seems like it is still too buggy to make me want to upgrade. I've heard several people in the newsgroup say they switched back to the previous version:

    Windows Live Essentials 2009
    - For XP SP2, Vista, Windows 7, Windows Server 2008
Full Version Installer English Language version

Web Version Installer – English Language Version

    Windows Live Essentials 2011
    - For Vista SP2 with Platform Update for Vista, Windows 7, and Windows
Server 2008 SP2 with Platform Update Windows Server 2008 R2)
Full Version Installer English Language version

Web Version Installer – English Language Version

The newsgroup from which I copied those links can be found in WLM at the "news.annexcafe.com" server and group "annexcafe.general.windowslivemail"
