Let me ask you this. When you uninstalled and reinstalled FF, did you have to reinstall your extensions and bookmarks and so on or where they already there?

Give a shot. Rename the profile folder. Start up FF and see what happens. Worse that can happen is that you have same problem and the only thing you lost was a bit of time. You can trash the new profile folder and rename yours back to normal.

I might be new to the forums here but I've been using this method since FF v1.x.

Just checked...all my accounts are accessible. Then again I never really saw them being disconnected.

As for new FF profiles: Is there any particular reason, why you are renaming the folder instead of starting the profile manager ( Firefox -P) and create a new profile as it was intended ??

After using RevoUninstaller to uninstall and then installing problem is gone. My aggravation is that I had to resort to the full uninstall to correct the problem as all other efforts failed.

It's just faster and easier for me (and to me). Plus it guarantees a clean profile folder.

Try the firefox -p option. You will be pleasantly surprised and will probably never use any other method.
