I know, the system is set up to prevent constant rep by one person. I will try to find that post. If I could only remember how long ago it was.
You should read the descriptions of the various email clients; you may find one that you really like.

I was working on threads trying to solve problems and saw an answer from another member. I realized that he was the one who posted the link for Windows Mail. I went to his file and quickly found it.
Free old version windows live mail Download - old version windows live mail Files

I present this link with the following advice, it is not wise just to download programs from unknown and untested sites. If you feel comfortable with the site, first save the program to a cd or finger drive and then test for malware, with malwarebytes and for virus with your antivirus.

If it were my computer, I would not download anything. There are so many email clients out there that you can use and test, why take a chance.

I'm still using that version, but it's the same as 2011 with respect to the multiple sets of folders. What I have done is set up one main pop3 account (containing its default plus optional subfolders) and forward email from the other accounts into it (and its subfolders using rules). Unfortunately, this omits the option of sending mail "from" the other accounts. You can get around that problem by setting them up as IMAP accounts (if your email provider offers that option) so that they will appear in the "from" drop down list for sending mail. The only remaining issue is that the sent mail from all IMAP accounts will show up under the Storage Folder group, while the sent mail from your pop3 account will show up under the pop3 account.

If you want to try the pre-2011 version, here it is:
Web Version Installer English Language Version

It has a more classic look than 2011 and may also have fewer bugs.

Rich,

Thanks so much for some good advice. Yes, agree I have to be careful downloading anything. I'll check the site though.

Rocerr,

I appreciate your reply and suggestions. I'm sure in time I could get use to this new one, but every since I saw a series of 5 tutorials on YouTuibe by a guy demonstrating WLM I knew I'd love it since it seemed to be so close to OE at least the face of it.

I just hate the splitting of the email accounts. So used to clicking "Inbox" and reading everything. I'll look at your link also.

Thanks guys so much for your help. Great forum, glad I found it.

Changing keystrokes to symbols

I typed (c) and it got changed to the copyright symbol. Dang, I hate when programs do that. And I can't find any place to prohibit that. Can anyone help? Thanks much.
