    32 vs 64 bit Internet Explorer 8

I've searched the forum on this, and found that main problem with 64 bit internet explorer is issue of lack of add-ons and compatibility with things like Adobe flash. But most of these threads were 6 months or so old.
I'd like to know, is there still and issue with lack of flash etc with 64 bit internet explorer today? Are people opting for 64 bit? Is it safer? thanks

Lack of support for add-ons for Internet Explorer 64-bit is still the case. Although now, there is a beta version of Flash Player that will run in 64-bit versions of Internet Explorer: Adobe Labs - Downloads: Flash Player "Square" Preview Release.
