Search Engines

Not exactly a browser or email question, but this seems like the closest forum for the question. APC on occassion offers a rebate for a particular UPS that I want, but apparently only by one vendor at a time, and only for a very short period. Both times that I have run across it, was too late to obtain the rebate.

This makes me wonder if any search engine has the ability to let one set it to automatically send an alert when a particular event, such as this is offered?

Thanks, but unless I missed something in my scan of that page, it just speaks of some general search engine features, but without mentioning what I would like. I could simply do repetitive searches over time, hoping that one of them would timed to the right day, and I have done so, on a smaller and random scale, but I would like an ongoing automatic search that would continue until I stopped it, that would search the internet until an offer within parameters was found, and then email me an alert.

The first time I found a rebate such as this, it was too late, and the last time, it was at the last 30 minutes of the offer. I did order it, and then found that the rebate also had to be postmarked by the same day that the rebate offer ceased, which was not possible at 11:30 PM, and had to cancel the order.
