If you want to make it your default browser just use the default programes option from the start menu :)

I am running 64 bit too.

That will make the 32 bit version default - not the 64 bit - pretty sure I'm right on this.

Default Programs only list Internet Explorer - no 32/64 option - at least on my machine.

Yes I believe you are correct, only IE is listed and it makes the x86 version the default. If I open a link in an e-mail and IE is not already open the x86 version launches. Make default is also greyed out in the x86 version but I believe that is because it already is the default browser. It is for me anyway as I don't have another browser installed.

Same thing for me, but I have FF installed.
SO - based on these latest posts, I'm gonna say the 64 bit version of IE 9 cannot be set as default. This is my final answer.

Not sure yet whether I should try it or wait a bit longer, IE is the only browser I use and it's the only one I have installed.

I think someone said Roboform works in IE9, I use that and have it as a Toolbar under the Menu bar, my main concern would be if it worked on my shopping site and bank, if not is it a lot of hassle getting back to IE8 ?
