If I still had it.. you can find one just like it with a search for "too many toolbars"
edit.. found it ..I've never seen one that bad in my own experience, but I can easily imagine what using that particular system must've been like

Perhaps an entirely new OS, whoever it is, they're running Vista.

it's one of those times the person ask you to fix the comp for them, and you opt to just blow it up.

Love the title of the thread here. But for those still running XP or even the XP Mode there's also some not so surprizing bad news. Microsoft's IE9 off limits to most Windows PCs

Two-thirds of the world's Windows machines still run XP, which can't run IE9

Computerworld - Microsoft may have a tough time building significant market share for its new Internet Explorer 9 (IE9) browser because eligible users are in the minority.

Several analysts agreed that Microsoft has its work cut out for it, at least in the short term, because IE9 won't run on Windows XP, the aged-but-still-dominant operating system.

Microsoft omitted the still-popular XP from the supported OS list because, among other things, IE 9 speeds up page rendering and composition by tapping the graphics processor in newer PCs. Windows XP lacks support for the Direct2D API, which IE9 uses to accelerate content rendering.
That's a reality check for the almost 10yr. old version as well as for the new XP Mode option. When I get back into the testing image here I'll be taking a look to see if the beta will or won't go on the XP Mode there.

And the UPDATE on XP and XP Mode is:

As suspected Not Good for either! as you can see from the attempt at installing IE 9 beta on the XP Mode. Any VM would be out anyways for lacking direct vpu access for the hardware rendering part.

While using IE9 for about a day, during the time application is in use I have been getting a prompt stating that the Performance level is low; switch to windows classic theme.
I have now reverted back to IE8 and would like to see if this message was related to the new version.
To uninstall I have to go to 'installed update' and do it.
