Yeah I think it definitely makes sense to check with your security software...on such a new product still in beta I wouldn't be surprised if there are other compatibility issues out there besides McAfee.

OK it will be tomorrow when I see any answers to my question, I've just been through all the pages and haven't found out but, I installed the 32 bit version.
Now we have a critical update for Flash and of course I can't download the new one because I'm running IE9, would I be able to download and install this Square flash that I've heard mention of in my 32 bit IE9 ?
Thanks all I'll be back to tomorrow.
just got a nice bugg in IE9,
after installing the voice and video plugin from gmail, my browser got mad slow,
now it takes over 7-12 sec to startup, the internet shortcuts that i have on the taskbar is even slower,
also they are not highlighted when startedup,
the window pos and size isn't saving, i have to start iexplore.exe in C:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Explorer to set up the pos and size of the browser,
not sure how to restore everything but i welcome suggestions,
b4 i installed googles crap, my browser had a startuptime of 0.6 sec
IE8 came pre-installed on my new computer. Had been using Firefox and Chrome on my XP. "Upgraded" to the IE9 beta. First time I've really used IE in about 3 years. It's not bad, but I find myself using Chrome about 90% of the time, even with IE9 as my default. Was having too many problems with Firefox on Windows 7 so I have totally dumped it. Tried Opera, don't even try to ask me about that mess.
The beta has started up slow at times here as well. So have some of the page on the Favorites bar. But some of that I also have to shift over to the time of day when the volume of people checking their emails and simply logging on at the end of a work day to that.
As for Opera who? The last pair of 10.xx releases with Unite have been a joke! I went back to the 9.64 version for having that one on at all. That and the 9.63 had been their best releases.
My interest of course having IE as the default to begin with is making the comparison between the beta and IE 8. Other then the few lags at times it's generally quite responsive. If it locks at all simply close it out and reopen it and it will be right back to normal from what I've been seeing so far with the beta.
I was running the x64 IE9 beta, very happy with it. Suddenly it crashed, and will not start up (since the crash). The x32 seems to run ok, btw.
