I apologize for misinterpreting you. Actually I have experienced that same kind of image linking problem in Google Images with the Flicker website, but all websites open quickly when accessed directly.

Yeh, it's just annoying sometimes when I use other browsers and sites load perfectly. Perhaps because Opera is not supported as widely as Firefox is or something.

A lot of sites are optimised for the market leading browsers, as this provides a better user experience, This is fine for those that use the "right" browser but not for those who choose to use something else.

Standardisation is becoming better than it once was and as proprietary systems are replaced by web standards then the display issues that opera users now see should disappear

I use Opera 99.99% of the time and in the very rare instance when it will not open a link I go to context menu> open with> Firefox.

not opening a link was the wrong term for me to say, though that has happened on an occasion. Mostly, the site would not load properly, or load in a way that is unusual to when I'd use another browser.

I think in all fairness that Google Chrome out there. I've has it for some, 6 months now and I haven't had a single problem at all. Plus I find it quicker than the other Browsers and less risks too.

As i have told in a few other "best browser" threads, I fell in love with Lunascape. Triple engine, fast, uses less resources than other browsers.

Bottom line: Use whatever works for you and what you like. I'll stick with FFx64 even though it's not officially supported now or anytime in the foreseeable future.
