Download Times Out

Hey,

Not sure where this would fall so I put it in General.

Many times when downloading a file the download will time out. I never had this problem with XP, only Win7. Sometimes the file will timeout after 30 seconds and other times it will time out after an hour. The error I get is something to the effect of "could not reach source host" yet, the latest time out was at 97% with 58 seconds left in the download. I've tried the Windows downloader, Firefox downloader and a download exelerator but to no avail.

Help! Anyone?!!!

All downloads? or only specific files types? or specific sites?

zip or rar files.

Are you using a .rar software like winrar?

Make sure your router settings arent set to idle time out??
by defualt mine turns off/resets every 30 minutes

My Max Idle Time is set to '0' which is equal to infinite.

Yes. But it happens with zip files too.
