If you delete cookies and temp internet files, some sites still know who you are. How is that possible? Just curious? thanks

Some websites will recognize your IP address
Others use "Super / Flash Cookies" that you don't clear by the normal means. An article on them:- Super Cookies Lurk in Your Browser – The Blogs at HowStuffWorks
I deleted my hidden cookies. The site I was looking for wasn't listed, guess they were using IPC address? My computer has ( in-private browsing), never used it, it works, the site doesn't know who I am. After looking around, a proxy server, will work also, depending on which one you use. It will hide your ipc address.
I have no reason to hide my ipc address, not trying to do anything illegal. Just wondered how some sites always knew who I was, even with deleting cookies? Now I know, thanks again.
