    Contact List corrupted

What's going on with my wife & I's Contact List???? We have seperate accounts on our computer (Win7 O/S and Live Mail) and names (contacts) in her list are suddenly showing up in my list and vice versa. Some names are showing up twice in both lists. I delete names from her list and 2 days later (or sooner) they are back again.

    Any help????

    Thanks,

    Jim.....

If you are both signing in (either manually or automatically) with the WLM email client (at different times, of course) then you are each seeing your respective "signed-in" contact list. You can also view those lists at the website "contacts.live.com" (even with WLM closed) using your browser; you will only see the list that corresponds to the login used on the browser at that time.

If OTOH you use WLM w/o signing in then WLM will display it's one and only "not-signed-in" contact list.

So if two of you are using WLM there are a total of 3 contact lists visible in the client but only one can be seen at a time:
    1) Your "signed-in" contact list (duplicated on your contacts.live.com)
    2) Wife's "signed-in" contact list (duplicated on her contacts.live.com)
    3) The "not-signed-in" contact list (not duplicated anywhere)

Thanks for the response, but I'm not sure if I completely understand your answer. We do both sign in at different times normally to check our respective mail. For 2 months....no problems. Then suddenly for 2-3 days our contact lists were going crazy. I'd look at mine and have some of her contacts and also several were duplicated. I'd fix it, and the next day it would be messed up again, but differently. The same thing was happening with hers.

I repaired them again last night, so I'll see what happens. We always close out our email sessions when finished.

I'll check on the site that you mentioned to see what's there.
