    Problems with Outlook

My mail client is Microsoft Outlook and lately I have noticed I am not getting any reply e-mails from forums I subscribe to.
For instance on this forum I posted a query and checked the box for instant e-mail on any replies.
I never received any, but when I went into the forum there was replies.
Today accidently I found myself in Windows Live Mail, I did not ever know I had it installed! but when I looked there was replies from various forums I subscribe to including this one.
Is there anything I can do to rectify this in Outlook?
Or can anyone suggest a better e-mail client to use.

    Thanks
    jack

    Hi Jack,

It sounds like you accidently set Windows Live Mail as your default mail handler, and so all email is now delivered to that instead of Outlook.

To rectify that, and assuming you want to continue using Outlook, you can uninstall Windows Live Mail, by going to Start > Control Panel > Uninstall a Program, and selecting Windows Live. Once in the installation, you will have the option to uninstall all Live componenets, or only Mail.

Post back here if you have any other trouble with this.

    Regards,

Click Start> Control panel> Default programs At the top click Set your default programs.

Highlight Windows Live if listed and on right side bottom click "Choose defaults" and in new window uncheck receive/send etc. Click "Save".

Then highlight Outlook then you will see toward the right side bottom "Set this program as default." Mine is default but if it shows option to "Save" click it. If not click OK in bottom right corner.

Microsoft Outlook is my default program.
When Live mail appeared it asked it I wanted to set it to be my default program and I answerd no.
