So, I just open the forums that are blocked by AT&T and read my "subscribed threads."
WartHog, I have not used AT&T for about three years and things certainly may have changed; but when I used it, I had the option to turn spam blocking off in the user controls.

Thanks Carl, but I did that. I actually spoke with AT&T and they said their system will automatically block some ISPs if it looks like that email address is getting spam from that ISP. I was able to get them to allow the email from one of my forums, but it is still hit and miss with that one. It'll let PM notices through, but not notices for threads I've subscribed too.

I've used web based email for the last few years and now am looking for a mail client. I am currently looking at Thunderbird but wondered if there were other mail clients I should consider? I am rather paranoid about attached viruses/malware. Thanks!

MSE messing with my e-mail client?
Could MSE be refusing connections that Thuderbird is trying to make to my mail servers? Ever since I installed MSE, my Thuderbird times out of GMail connection and no longer connects to my University's mail server. My MSE has the default settings as of now. Best, Eamon
