Browsed sites....normal background colours vamoosed

This happened once before and was solved, but I have forgotten how.

Sites visited had individual background colours. After a Sys Res in safe mode every site's backgound is white, which is tiring on the eyes.

Advise please how to get the proper backgrounds again.

This time I'll file the solution.

iexplore.exe processes running in background--normal?
On a fresh boot, after my desktop loads but before I launch any browsing/email/internet applications, I notice I have two or three instances of iexplore.exe running in the list of active processes. Does this seem "normal" for Windows 7, or should I be concerned that iexplore.exe is running even...

Never-ending background(?) harddrive activity - Is this normal?
Greetings. Background: I'm quite new to Windows 7 and even newer (as of a few minutes ago) to sevenforums. I'm not sure if this is the correct place for this question... and it very well may be a laughably stupid question, but here goes . . . I've just finished a clean install of...

Normal background program behavior?
Hi everyone, Just a quick question, since I'm still adjusting to Win 7 Professional (even after a few months). Is it normal for some programs to launch quietly, do something, and then quickly close? I usually have Process Explorer open so I can monitor all running applications at all times, and...
