pretty much most of the day i have been getting firefox not responding, then it greys out then i get a message about a script on the page with the option to continue or stop the script, its also the same on my desktop ,currently using laptop ,could it be anything to do with windows updates, im considering system restore, however i want my updates also.
    any ideas most welcome :)
edit: Here's a funny thing since i posted i havent had any freezes . bet it starts freezing after this edit
edit 2 :haha wont you credit that , it think its a google thing as when i went googling after 1st edit it froze again im going to disable google enhance as it updated today and that may be the cause.

Let's see if we can find the cause ...

Download VEW by Vino Rosso http://images.malwareremoval.com/vino/VEW.exe
and save it to your desktop

Running Windows Vista or Windows 7 you will need to right click the file and select Run as administrator and click Continue or Allow at the User Account Control Prompt.

Click the check boxes next to Application and System located under Select log to query on the upper left

Under Select type to list on the right click the boxes next to Error and Warning Note: If running Windows Vista or Windows 7 also click the box next to Critical (not XP).
Under Number or date of events select Number of events and type 20 in the box next to 1 to 20 and click Run

Once it finishes it will display a log file in notepad
Please copy and paste its entire contents into your next reply

Well as a temporary workaround i have installed google chrome and i have found most of the extensions that i use in firefox, im still getting used to the new browser but im rather impressed ,and its fairly quick also. so i may be a new convert:)

Which version of FF were you attempting to use, boohbah? I don't see it mentioned in this thread as of this moment - or did I miss it?
