Thanks Deacon!
Revo got it all out.
Now i can edit my contacts.
Interesting thing though.......
Windows live is still in there. After the using Revo, i restarted and went to my email, opened it up and there it was. Windows Live. All my emails are still there and my contacts are still there. The contacts that i tried to enter but they wouldnt show up after entering all the info, theyre there too.
I havnt reinstalled Windows Live Essentials again.
Im afraid it will screw up my contacts again.
So, is windows Live and hotmail part of Windows live Essentials or not?
Cause i still have Windows Live and Hotmail.
Hotmail is web-based....there's no software for it. Windows Live Mail on Windows 7 is not part of the OS and is only installed by downloading and installing Windows Live Essentials. Windows Mail was part of Vista...so was this an upgrade install of Windows 7...or a completely clean install?
This was a New full install off a Retail disc.
This makes me wondwe if Windows live was contained in one of the updates.
I still havnt reinstalled Windows Live essentials, and i still have Windows live Hotmail.
When i say that i have Windows Live Hotmail, i mean that when i open up my Email, in the top left corner, it says "Windows Live". Then, just below that it says "Hotmail".
So, im still unclear, if i uninstalled Windows Live Essentials, why does it still say Windows live in the upper corner when i go into my email?
Windows Live Essentials is listed under optional updates, so it is possible it was installed that way. I'm not sure how or why the mail program is remaining...but I've heard of quite a few people having issues trying to uninstall. I guess it is possible all components weren't removed.
As for Hotmail...I thought you were referring to that as a mail program. I use a Live account to sync up all my data...not for the actual e-mail, but I do have a section called Live on the left pane of my Windows Live Mail window, so I'm guessing if you have Hotmail, you'd see that listed.
That's a mystery for sure, but I'm glad it works now.
