Amen, brother LOL
So, the options could be....
1, US & rest of the world....Shipped with IE8
2, EU....Shipped without IE8, offered as update making it no different to 1!!!
Seems a bit silly really LOL

Its the EU mate of course its silly lol Blame Opera for crying to the EU because they have a crappy market share.
I guess most customers will complain about not having a web browser...for most Windows Update is even too complicated...
EU sucks in several points...
Before you format to install your shiny new E edition, download IE8 and Firefox so you can install them after format.
Surely that defeats the object of buying a Microsoft Operating System running Microsoft Software?? LOL
If i'm gonna fork out my well earned cash then I want the FULL package, not something hacked up by EU regulations!!
Not to mention that somewhere from 60-70% of the normal home users would be installing IE8 anyways.
That would make the most sense, some small app that presents you a list of choices which I guess would have to be approved by the EU, then would download & install the chosen browser ...
Or maybe they'll force you to go to a B&M store to buy an internet browser so you can then go shopping on the internet instead of a B&M store ...
Apparently the EU are considering that you get an alternate Operating System with W7.... Just to be fair to its competitors lol ( I'm kidding by the way )
I just wish that the EU would stop meddling in so many things. I can see the headlines now EU to require MS to stop including Windows with Windows.
