Setup Outlook 2007 for my Hotmail account

    Hi

can someone please send me a link to a "how to" or a tutorial on
Setting up Outlook 2007 to access my Hotmail account xxxx@hotmail.com.

I have tried twice using info I found with a search but neither worked.

    Any help or advice appreciated.

    cheers

    Hi.

Thanks for the reply and the link.

Is a msn address the same as hotmail. I thought not, but for no good reason except that it is not @msn.

Sorry if that confused but I think if you substituted @msn with @hotmail.com it should work. However, this website should help you.

    Hi

    thanks for you reply.

It seems that Outlook 2007 must now connect through Exchange and not POP,
also I need to get an update first but I am having so much trouble with updates
since this install of W7 (from 32 to 64 versions) I will wait until that is sorted
before I try to get Outlook working.

    Cheers

I currently have both POP3 and IMAP accounts set up in Outlook 2007, and they both work without any issues. The only reason you would set up an account as Exchange is if your email provider provided Exchange as one of the methods you could use.
