MSFT was my source. The critical updates? I usually install the ones that don't give me a strange vibe. I really, really try to avoid the phone home stuff. My internet is slow enough w/o a bunch I spy going on in the bkgrnd.

Well..... you're probably missng an update required by IE9.

And for what it's worth, those "critical" updates are released for a reason

Good luck.

Let us know.
The link is only 36 pages long. no problem if you are a speed reader.

As I also posted on this thread IE9 RC x64 will not load and connect to the Net on my W7 HP x64 computer. IE9 RC x32 works fine as do both version of IE9 Beta on another W7 HP x64 computer.

I think that there could be a bug in IE9 RC x64 with regards to running on W7 x64 computers.

I don't know where you come up with that

I can assure you that at least 70 percent of the users in this forum are running Windows 7 64-bit including me and we have no issues running IE9. And IE9 IS compatible with Window 7 64-bit - thus the two versions posted by Nem.....

No, it's not worth the hassle really, I'm very happy with Google Chrome. Thanks for your concern.
