    IE 8 Has Gone

Helloi recently tried the new ie9 rc but i didnt like it it was too slow and complicated to use.Anyway i followed the instruction on uninstalling ie9 so i could roll back to IE8 witch is already on the windows 7 x64 but when i uninstalled ie9 and rebooted it looks like its deleted IE8 aswell both versions the 64 bit and 32 bit.My question is how do i reinstall both versions of IE8 i tried sfc/scannow and chkdsk but it didnt work.

Hi, welcome to the forums :)

You may want to try this...

1, Open Control Panel > Programs and click IE 8 Has Gone-securityshield.jpgTurn Windows features on or off
2, Find Internet Explorer and if it's unchecked then click to check it and click OK

If it's no longer in the list then I would suggest a Repair Install

A Repair Install does not affect your Programs, Settings or Personal Files

You might try to go to "Programs and Features" but click on the left side link to "View Installed Updates". If you can see which one was responsible for IE9, then uninstall it; the system should revert back to IE8.
