How totally mystifying! Before you close this thread, perhaps look through this:

    Computer Exorcism

To close this thread, click the red triangle with the black ! (upper right corner of any post.) You can submit a brief solved message and one of the mods or admins will close this. Best of luck with your machine!

Thank you mate did what you said cheers for now

I now see what has happened Ipsec PassThrough is ticked in the Hub whereas it was only PPTP PassThrough and Multicast that was ticked before. when i was on the phone to my ISP for over an hour and a half last night we tried ticking Ipsec PassThrough and it still didn't work. So I don't really know why it is working now just glad it is and thanks again to all who posted to my thread thank you.
I now know for sure what it is if you are with Virgin Media inside the Hub>services>firewall must be turned on now in my case anyway I never used to have it ticked but it seems I have to now after trial and error I know this for a fact so the PPTP PassThrough> Multicast Ipsec PassThrough and Firewall must be ticked now for some reason and thank you all again for your support

Ok, this is just a rant... In IE8 there was a down arrow on the back button so you could jump back many pages. That is gone now. Why the F*** did they take that away? Why should I have to use Google to learn how to use a new version of IE?

Its the same with so many software programs today. The programmers are bored, so they need to come up with changes to justify their jobs. I can no longer right click on a folder in W7 and hit Search and enter parameters. Im sure there is a way to do it, I just need to Google it...
