    [Opera] Browser!

    Hello!

Any Opera users here? I need someone to tell me why to download Opera. It looks really interesting, and sneeky. So why is Opera better than all the other browsers?

Well, i use Opera all the time
i find it to be more of an OS than a browser, or at least a huge bundle of software rather than just a browser.
It can do downloading better than any other browser (especially chrome), it has a built in (outlook style) email client, it has a (admittedly lame, but exists) IRC client, a built in torrent client for all your nice legal torrents and considering it has all this, it is incredibly slick. Sure, it looks a bit bulky, but it makes Chrome look like a piece of paper with scribbles compared to Opera being an encyclopedia
In short, I find it to be extremely powerful, and fast even when just on my decrepit laptop.

Opera is so versatile that it can even be set up as your own server using Opera Unite! And Opera also has an amazing Speed Dial...

Yes, and Opera 12's new Presto v2.9.220 rendering engine instantly raised its score on Peacekeeper beta score by 11.2%!

Opera 12 alpha?!? WOO!!! I'd been finding Opera 11 to be getting less and less compatible with most of the websites I visit and had temporarily switched to Chrome, but if the Opera 12 alpha is more 'compatible', I'll be wholeheartedly back on 'Team Opera'

I know what you mean by Opera 11.51 not being able to fully render some websites, but Opera 12 Alpha is now capable of doing so plus it is a much faster version of !

In addition to all the above, it makes peanut butter sandwiches too.

    Just kidding.

I've used Opera since version 2.something and have always liked it. It went through "phases" where it was not free, ad supported, a little naggy, but ultimately came out free and full of features.

    I just plain like it.

I use a 32" monitor and one of my favorite features in Opera is its ability to display in High Contrast (W/B) which I find much easier on the eyes...
