Issue with Spell Check in Windows Live Mail

    Hi -

I have an issue with Spell Check in Windows Live on Windows 7 Home Edition. It's an odd problem, as it occurs only about 20% of the time, but often enough to be annoying!

When I click on Spell Check, nothing happens. Then I click "send" to send the e-mail. I get this message: "The spell check on this document was halted. Do you want to send anyway." Only one problem: I never halted the spell check! Very annoying even though it happens only about 20% of the time. Nobody seems to know anything about this issue, so any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Randy1212, It usually occurs when using 'reply or forward' option, but also dependant on the setting.

Yes, it does occur just with forwards and - more importantly - with replies to e-mails. So with these above settings, that will solve the problem? No need for a fix from Microsoft?

I had another reply also - someone said something about the need to download a dictionary. That post was deleted for some reason - but if there is a dictionary of some kind to be downloaded, I would need the link. Thanks.

Your native language should be in use + others being available, if you access the setting in my image, it will show what languages are in use by scrolling down.
