Default e-mail programme - no options

    Hi All:

In the past if I clicked on an e-mail address it would automatically take me to my hotmail account. Since I switched to Windows 7 and a recent upgrade to IE9, my system can't find my MSN hotmail account. Nor is it available under Device Programs.

This is the error message received:

"There is no e-mail program associated to perform the requested action. Please install an e-mail program, or if one is already isntalled, create an assocation in the Device Programs Control panel."

How do I fix this problem.

    Thanks, MS

There is a wonderful program GmailDefaultMaker - Download: GmailDefaultMaker 2.0.1.4

Despite it's name it works not only for Gmail, BUT also for Hotmail, Yahoo, Aol and custom email providers too.

When you install it, it will ask which website you want to select for MAILTO protocol in Internet Explorer.
Also, when you will click on the email link first time it will show you a window, (check attached screenshots) where you need to tick the option DO NOT SHOW again and click Allow.
