    Outlook and email


    Morning Guys.

    This problem came out of no where. I am unable to get email through outlook via sky.

    I have set up accounts several times, triple checking settings are correct. But the server is unable to log me on and the SMTP server aways times out.

    Also itunes thinks there is no connectivity and will not open the store, I know there is connectivity coz I'm posting the above.

    the issues seem to be connected.

    Mattdisney:
    There are several possibilities, one being your AV product, also the firewall not allowing 2 way communications from outlook. What version of outlook are you using and what AV are you using?

    Also, some isp's restrict port 25 so the smtp port in most cases must be set to 2525 or 587.
