Hello Gary,

You could open the Start Menu, click on All Programs, right click on the Windows Live Mail shortcut, click on Send To, and Desktop to place a shortcut of it on your desktop.

If you have Windows Live Mail installed, then you could also right click on the desktop, click on New and Shortcut, then use the location path below depending on if you have the 32-bit or 64-bit Windows 7 installed.

32-bit
"C:\Program Files\Windows Live\Mail\wlmail.exe"

64-bit
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Live\Mail\wlmail.exe"

Windows Live Mail 2011 icon missing.
I noticed when I went to check my Mail the Icon is missing. I have deleted my icon Cache and it's rebuilding. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled it to no avail. I am using the "Repair" option when you go to uninstall it. So I'll let you know.
