I downloaded google chrome and that too is very slow. I have all so downloaded malwarebyte's and done a full run and it finished finding nothing.
I have all so tried going to several sites and they all are very slow to load, some i have even given up waiting to load as it takes so long.

What are you using to connect to the internet?

I am wireless connected i am using a laptop, there are no obstructions or any thing blocking the signal as far as i am aware, i use the laptop in the same place every day. The only thing that has changed is my provider, but that was at the beginning of the month and the problem only started beginning of the week.
There is one other thing i have notice that is different is when i play Rift the lag is awful, my latency is just ridiculous, i noticed that on Tuesday, now i am thinking that it could be some how connected to the problem i am having with browsing the internet.

Do you have another computer or laptop you can test the speed of the internet on? If you don't, you could try using a mobile phone (Android, WP7 or iOS preferred).

Try the Superantispyware and run a full scan, also use the Ccleaner.

Have you tried using a cable to see if you get a different connection speed?

OK Thread Starter,

Your problem is NOT your browser.

So let's go about making your system run faster. I just, last nite and very early morning hours worked wonders on a chaps system.

He had one big advantage over most. He followed the advice.

So here goes.

First, we must rule out virus AND virus-fighting software.

Immediately, if not sooner, delete, remove, kill Norton.

Install and use Microsoft Security Essentials which is free, the least-interfering of any av/anti-malware software.

Link for Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE) in my sig.

That is step 1.

Step 2 is to install and run a FULL SCAN of MalwareBytes. Once again link in my sig.

Step 3 is to download, install and run CCleaner. Once again, free and in my sig.

Step 4 is to carry out following:
LIST OF STARTUP PROGRAMS USING CCLEANER

CCleaner | Tools icon | Startup tab | click on Save to text file button (bottom right side)

Using the PAPER CLIP icon in the top panel of a Message Reply window, attach the .txt file generated by CCleaner.
=====================================

There is still more to be done, but report back to me on the fulfillment of each and every one of the above points.

REBOOT.

Don't worry. You haven't deleted or disabled anything. You have simply told Win7 to not run those at startup time.
