    IE8 32-bit lag

    Hi.

A few days ago I have installed Windows 7 RC 7100 and it worked like a charm. But i noticed that IE (32 bit version) is laggy and takes too long to download some flash content or adds or when I need to type somthing in textfields and it gets very annoying because some times the browser is not responding for like 1-2 minutes . The 64 bit version works fine but it doesn t support flash and I have also Firefox 3.5 and it works also fine.

Any of you could help me?

is there a way to reinstall IE8? maybe that would work. even now as I type this reply the writing appears after 4-5 seconds :|. but this just happens only when I m in IE 32 bit. All other apps on my pc are working great.

I probably just wouldn't use IE 32 bit then. It has some good new features, but is sketchy and unecessary. There's a wild world of browsers out there.

Hi alecsio, welcome to the forums.

You can try resetting IE8 settings from the 'Internet Option' in Control Panel.

In the 'Advanced' tab you have 'Restore advanced settings', if that has no effect then you can 'Reset...' IE8 to factory settings.
       Note
You will need to re-download and addons you previously had e.g. Adobe Flash or Java

    Hope this helps :)

Make sure you've gotten updates via Windows Update.

They released some patch for it related to IE8 lags shortly after it came out.

You could also maybe look at your IE addons, you can manage them and see the load times of various addon's and also disable anything not required etc.
