How to bounce emails in WinLiveMail

In the Safety options for WinLiveMail, under Blocked Senders list, there is an option to tick which says:

"When I click delete and block" ... "Bounce the blocked messages back to the sender."

I have a heap of blocked senders in the list, but how do you click "Delete and block". There is no such command in the options. Am I missing something?

I put one of my own email addresses in the blocked senders list with the above option ticked. However when I sent an email from this account to my normal working email address it was not blocked nor bounced, or even sent to junk email.

    Hi poppa bear,
If you read mail in HTML instead of Plain Text, messages from unknown senders can appear in the preview pane without being sent to the Junk Mail folder. It should then give 2 options, Delete and Block or Show Images. I always read in Plain Text.

Read in Plain Text temp. disabled to show you.

    Hi Roderunner,

Update: Ooooopps! I thought this had solved the problem but not so.

The only option I have for reading emails is to tick or leave unticked: "Read in plain text". There is no specific option saying "Read in HTML". Even with the option unticked to read in plain text, I still don't get the option "Delete and Block" as shown in your attached pic. (There is an option to specifically send emails in HTML).

Perhaps it's because I'm using an older version of WinLiveMail beng v 2009 (build 14.0.8117.0416).

I use this version because the later versions don't have the option to format an email background with Color, Sound or Picture.

I'm also using 2009. After reading Roderunner's response to your question, I interpret the option to mean "when I click delete and block IN A SPECIFIC BLOCKED MESSAGE". In other words, it's not a general option, just says what to do when you click that phrase in the message where it appears. However, I can't say I recall ever seeing that option in a blocked message, probably because I usually unblock the small number of blocked messages I receive.

Hi Roncerr, thanks for input. Point taken re this being an option to bounce a specific message and not a universal bouncing filter.

Unfortunately the commercials got hold of my email address so I get a regular supply of unwanted emails, and I always mark them: "Add sender to blocked sender's list" ... that is if they don't get sent straight to junk mail folder after being screened by the junk email filter in Safety Options.

However, I've never once seen the option to "Delete and block" in a new unwanted email. The only options I get are "Delete" or "Add to various safe or blocked lists ... or mark as junk".

    Cheers PB :)
