    Windows Live Mail Error 0x800ccc0e

    Hi there,

My windows live mail was working fine and then I logged on yesterday and I keep getting this message,

Unable to send or receive messages. The connection to the server has failed.
    Server: 'pop.mail.yahoo.co.uk'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC0E
    Protocol: POP3
    Port: 995
    Secure(SSL): Yes
    Socket Error: 10061

I've been using the Windows live mail for my yahoo account for nearly a year and this is the first time it's happened.

If anyone can help I'd much appreciate it as logging into Yahoo all the time is a pain.

    Go to WLM.

Tools + Accounts + select account and click properties.
    select advance button.
server port no. : make it as 465.
click this server requires SSL connection.

    APPLY.

    EXIT all windows.

    start again > send/receive.
Let us know if it helps. :)

Did you restart Windows Live Mail?

    Edit:
I know you said it was working OK before, but just for the sake of it, it might also be worth just checking the set-up:

I assume you are using Yahoo!Mail Plus ?
Y!Mail Plus requires $19.95 subscription per year.
You need that in order to configure Yahoo!Mail into Windows Live Mail.

Correct settings for Y!Mail Plus in WLM is :
    Windows Live Mail Error 0x800ccc0e-incoming.png

    Windows Live Mail Error 0x800ccc0e-outgoing.png

    I did not explain clearly.

I was trying to tell you that Yahoo!Mail Plus is required in order to use it in Windows Live Mail. It is not optional.
