ghostery extension - good or useless?

It appears since putting ghostery on FF/SR Iron/Opera - I have problems with images rendering, getting broken links and what not.

not sure if this is a problem with ghostery or something else but it's consistent throughout the browsers

SR IRon - 13
Opera - 11.5
