    windows live mail

    Hi Guys N Girls,
Ive just built a new 64bit rig,and ive used window easy transfer,to reinstall my settings from my 32bit os.
Ive done a clean installation on my ssd drive.
My problem is with Windows live mail,it doesnt show up in my "program x86" folder and it doesnt show up in the "uninstall program" chart.
Revo Uninstall Pro cant find it anywhere either.
But when i try to install it again fresh from the "Windows Live" site it tells me that ive already got it on my system.
Im with "sky" so im able to read my emails through their site, but i would prefur to use WLM.
Is there anything other software that can find this program for me.
Any help would be gladly welcome.

    Hello there, MGM.

Check under Programs and Settings if "Windows Live Essentials" is listed there, if it is, then Live Mail is probably installed.

If it's not, then you could just download the web installer from here: Download Windows Live Essentials 2011 - Free Email, Instant Messaging, and Photo Editing Software from Microsoft

And if it needs to install it, it'll give you the option to do it :) if it doesn't give you the option to install, then you probably have it listed in the startup menu.

    Cheers.

Unfortunately the item is no-where to be found in Program and Features,
The download link is telling me that ive got all the other features except "Bing" and would i like to install that.
And my Start Up folder is empty.
    Now im very confused

This might help. Go to Start and in the search type in windows live. Mine is close to the top.

Try doing a 'Repair' of all W Live Essentials in 'Programs and Features.

    Thank for your replies.
Firstly Layback Bear i did as you asked and manage to get a list of shortcuts for WLM,Writer, etc etc.
these ive now deleted, but i still cant find the actual programs for Windows live Essentials.
Secondly for you Roderunner ive search in Program and Features and i dont have W Live Essentials in there either.
So once again im lost as when i try to download the W Live Essential from website its telling me that ive already got some programs.
A mate said that i might have to do a clean install all over again to get rid of it once and for all,but isnt that a drastic measure

I'm confused. Your first post you were looking for Windows Live Mail. You did as suggested, found it and then deleted it. Go to search and type in add or remove programs. My WLM is listed close to the bottom. Could you please post again what you are trying to do and why.
