firefox browsing lag?

Very weird problem I cannot figure out. I am running the latest x64 windows 7 7600.16385, with firefox, browsing the internet seems to be really slow. When downloading torrents or whatever, i get 300kb/s but when I download anything from firefox the speeds are around 20-30kbps. I have the latest drivers; chipset and networking. Any help is appreciated thanks in advance!

Hi lagalot5, and welcome to Sevenforums.

I would suggest you try this addon for firefox

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/9148

It speeds up the browsing for me quite nicely.

Hope this helps.
Cheers.
