Cannot Access Gmail With Firefox 34 Beta 2

mail.google.com uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is not trusted because the issuer certificate is unknown.
I also cannot access PayPal due to the above.

    Try using a non-beta version.

Because this feature is not a bug, it will be in the Final Release of Firefox 34. That is how come.:)

    Check SSL

Perhaps you could check your SSL\ TLS settings?

I'll post mine for comparison (using Cyberfox)

    Type in the address bar

    about:config

    in the search box type

    .SSL

Here's what I see for true - enabled.

    And here;s what I see when I visit howsmyssl.com

I've also heard that some AV's have built in SSL scanning that can cause problems with secure sites and turning off this feature might solve the problem.

    More settings

Just checked Gmail. It needs TLS v1.2 enabled

Check the following settings are enabled and that values are the same:

    Certificate errors

Also check your system clock. If it's out of sync it could be an issue.

    A test

You could try portable (zipped) Cyberfox. Intel or AMD version depending upon your Motherboard. It uses it's own profile so won't screw up Firefox. Run it and if you get the same problem accessing gmail then it's not a Firefox issue.
