    . live not responding

I have Windows 7 64-bit and using Explorer 9. I keep getting this message in live Mail ".live not responding" no error code appears with this message. I've checked Internet and they say it is a glitch in update KB2454826 and to uninstall it to correct the problem. I have checked my installed updates and this update is not on my list. I went to Microsoft support and downloaded a "fix it" directly from Microsoft, still experiencing the problem. Checked for driver updates and everything seems to be in order. This problem started last week and have tried every suggestion I can find with no results. Any new suggestions would be appreciated.

You might start with an Advanced Search for "KB2454826." Be sure to search the entire computer and not just the Indexed Locations, and be sure to check the little box that says Include non-indexed, hidden, and system files. If you can find that file/folder you might be able to then uninstall the Update.

Sounds like you've done pretty much everything else you can to try to correct the problem with the Update. If the Advanced Search doesn't help, why don't you do a System Restore to a restore point just prior to your downloading the Update? Then see if the problem has been resolved. If it has, then you can try to install that Update again, if you wish. If the problem hasn't been resolved, then most likely the problem didn't originate with that Update.

I did do an advanced search and "computer" the drive and did in fact find file KB2454826 but it would not let me delete the file because it said I need SYSTEM authorization. Not quite sure how to obtain SYSTEM privileges. What I ended up doing was going to live essentials in features and programs and clicking on repair. So far this seems to have corrected my problem. How do you obtain SYSTEM privileges?
