I enquired about 64-bit flash & Adobe said it was "expected in the next upcoming release".

    That was 3 YEARS ago!
You have to wonder what on earth they have been doing.
Oh that's right they released a 64 flash player for Linux! - which is still a geeks only OS, and useless to 99% of the polulation.

The software isn't compatible. Depending on your version of Windows 7 (if you are using professional, Ultimate or Enterprise) you could try this while running in XP mode: Windows 7 features - Windows XP Mode - Microsoft Windows. Or try the Program Compatibility Troubleshooter: Make older programs run in this version of Windows.

I haven't tried this myself... Let me know how it works for you!

ALL versions of Windows 7 x64 have a 32-bit version of Internet Explorer installed as well as the 64-bit version. On the 32-bit version, Adobe Flash IS compatible.

Adobe Flash is not compatible only in the 64-bit version of Internet Explorer

If one cannot get Adobe Flash Player to run in the 32-bit version, then the problem lays elsewhere, but it is not a Win 7 x64 compatibility issue.

BTW, I'm running Windows 7 x64 Ultimate Edition, using Adobe Flash Player under IE-32 bit without issue.

And you can check here to get Flash working with IE-32 - Latest Version of Adobe Flash Player.

Again, if it doesn't work, the problem lays elsewhere.

    Peace.

I have 7 Pro 64bit installed now and Firefox is constantly asking me to install Flash Player... I run through the install when the little yellow strip appears at the top of the browser but the installation doesn't take and I get asked to install the plugin again and again...

    Any solutions for this?

Are you running the 64-bit version of Firefox? If so, Adobe Flash doesn't support ANY 64-bit browser, you'll have to use a 32-bit browser to get Flash to work.

If you are using the 32-bit version of Firefox, then Flash should install and work. If thats the case, then I don't have a solution as to why it's not as I don't use Firefox. Sorry.

Actually I am using Ff 3.7 Minefield... might be the problem. I have checked the help section and can't find whether it's 32 or 64-bit. I only just installed 7 Pro 640bit so I will try some other browsers etc..

    What about the "About" tab?

I had Minefield and it didn't work. I uninstalled it and put Firefox 32 bit on mine and flash works fine. It also works with IE 32 bit.
