Need IE8 64 Bit for Windows 7
Hi;
I just bought a Dell 15R, Win7 Home Premium 64Bit, IT CAME WITH IE9, NO UPGRADE.
The customer I'm working with needs IE8, I can't find a place to down load IE8 for
Win7 64 Bit. They have XP,Vista, Server 2003,2008, but NO Windows 7 64 bit or 32 bit.
Any suggestions

Why not just use it in compatibility mode? On the URL bar on the right next to the refresh button, click the icon that looks like a torn in half page. That will put it in compatibility mode which simulates previous IE versions.

You should be able to use the Vista or Server 2K8 versions.
However, Windows might refuse to install it, as it is an earlier version than the one you already have.
Make a backup OS image, BEFORE you attempt the installation, in case of disaster.

Look in Control Panel > Program & Features > Installed updates in the Microsoft Windows section
find Windows Internet Explorer 9 & uninstall it .
That's all you need to do you will have IE 8 instead.

Control Panel > Programs & Features - In the left pane, click on Install or Remove Windows Features. See if the IE8 box is checked. If not, click the box.

If IE9 is installed IE9 will show up in the Feature section instead of IE8. When IE9 is un-installed then IE8 should show up in Feature section as IE8 is part of Windows 7 and can not be un-installed. It can be disabled or replaced by IE9 but is always there.

You are correct. I meant after the OP uninstalls IE9 as Stve proposed. I'm pretty sure it will revert back to IE8 in features so it's just a check to make sure. 
But come to think about it, I didn't have to do anything reverting back to IE8. 
So ignore my frivolous post.

Too late to ignore your post, already read it. 
But that is good information to know that IE8 is a Feature and where to activate or deactivate it. Not everyone knows that.
