    Those annoying recommended sites

Help!! I put on Picasa tonight to see if I could make pictures smaller for email as I am totally at sea with the zip apps and ended up with this rubbish on my desktop and I want it gone.

Can someone tell me how to destroy them forever so that they are lost in space or something

Have you tried a System Restore Point PRIOR to the "rubbish" magically appearing?

I'm not familiar with Picasa, but many of the installers now use stuff like Open Candy or other mechanisms for putting on software in addition to the thing you want to install. I guess a lot of programmer's got gray hair waiting for donations so now they accept the corporate cash.

Whenever you install new software it's always advisable to use the custom option instead of an express install as then you've got a fighting chance of choosing not to install things like toolbars and suchlike that you've no need for and don't want.

Have you tried Windows Live Photo Gallery from MS. Under edit you can resize your pics.

No Jim have tried 7 zip jzip etc but the only thing that seems to work is that ?Screen viewer in WLM when you add photos - only problem is the res int as good as it needs to be - viewable but not finely detailed.

But I'll try that Windows Live option.

As for the annoying Google stuff a system restore - had to disable my security for the restore - didn't happen still there and I am sure they were not there two days ago - oh well perhaps another browser? search engine - whatever blasted Google

KIS2012 & MBAM and hey guess what I posted in the ?Google forum / contact form and it went to a similar query. Now I checked as per what someone said in IE options and found the Home page was changed so typed in my local Google.com.au site > applied and away it went

So alls well that ends well but why in the name of reason did it change cripes they do some pretty irritating stuff at times eh? unless I am getting grumpier

Now for that pic editing stuff

Hey JMH how do you get those nice sayings under your message cos I can't work that out either.
