Which Newsgroup reader works with W7-64bit
The title says it all. I am looking to get a good newsgroup reader, but don't know which ones work well with Windows 7 - 64bit.
Any recommendations?

I've had no problems at all with Altbinz alt.binz | Usenet progy
Some time ago I spent a weekend researching newsgroups and readers and it appeared that usenet.com and Grabit was a good and reliable combination so I bought a subscription and downloaded the reader. Since then I have not been successful at finding what I want ( which is large movie files that are split up into .rar's) and downloading a serviceable file. Can someone with experience recommend a good tutorial and offer any other advice?
Grabit works well with win 7/64bit although it's 32bit. The "2.0" version, which hasn't been released yet, will be 64bit.
I use Grabit and don't quite understand your question(s).
I don't know where you are in the process. Have you downloaded (d/l) all the newsgroups from usenet.com ?
If so, fire up Grabit, click on "Default Server" at the top of the left pane, type movies in the box that says "only show group names that contain the word (s)", find a newsgroup, right click and left click "subscribe." This action will d/l all the files in that particular newsgroup. Is the former "old hat" to you ??
There is virtually no chance that is the fault of Grabit as a newsreading application.
I've never subscribed to Grabit, but I assume that means you are using Grabit as a newsgroup provider as well as a news reader. I use the app, but not the subscription service.
You are looking in the wrong places for the files, wherever that might be. You may be looking in the wrong newsgroups, but Grabit has no control over who you use as a newsgroup provider.
Research a better newsgroup provider rather than wondering about your news reader. There are providers that will give you hundreds of GB of downloads for the cost of a good steak dinner. Providers may differ in their retention rates and in the newgroups they carry. Grabit can get files from any newgroup that your provider carries.
It may be that newgroups in general are less likely to contain files you want (for whatever reason), but Grabit can't do anything about that. If the files have not been uploaded, you aren't going to be able to download them, regardless of newsgroup or newsreader.
To continue in English, Press 1.....................
Seems we are responding to the thread hijacker rather than the OP (whose question has already been answered).
But, I digress. I believe the hijacker mentioned "usenet.com" and I'm assuming that is his news service provider. Yea o' Nay ??
Go to Binsearch -- Usenet search engine, look at the top right, and click on the "Browse Newsgroups" tab. Here, you will find ALL currently listed newsgroups, but all of them may or may not be carried by your provider (news service). You can click a group and see what is available. There are groups for "DVD", Movies, etc. As noted above, the retention time of you news service provider may have an impact on availability of listed files.
